Why skaters wear shoelaces as belts
I own a belt. Sorry, I own many belts and still choose to wear a shoelace. And, will always continue to. Such as, don't wear a shoelace to a wedding or something like that. I've done that and feel like a complete idiot for doing so. I just like using my experiences as examples. But, now that I think of it.. I always wanted to be like the Fresh Prince Will Smith sort of. I guess now in a way I've accomplished that. Thanks for support on quitting the ciggys Dagz!
Belt buckles are annoying, so are belts in general. Espically if you rock a fluro orange one like me. I'm always having to buy a size bigger, if I'm lucky, I can buy an exact waist size. No, that makes you an attention whore. My freind had a shoelace belt and he count get it off and he had to pee realy bad lol. Yeah most wouldn't use it to a wedding. First, I didn't make as much money so I couldn't buy as much. Next, I got a girlfriend so I did it even less. Then, I just felt like it was affecting my skating so I quit for a bit.
But I got back into it because of parties, drinking and I would lose self control. I started exercising and wanted to be healthy as a baby so I just stopped. I was always knew I could quit at the snap of a finger but never really cared to. I was hooked like crack too. I never needed anything to quit like mentos, mints, or nicorette gum.
Mind over matter, I believe. I sincerely hope you're kidding. And also, you guys are either slobs or fucking retarded. This "I wear one when I can't find a belt" excuse is bullshit. Belts are A LOT more common in my room than fucking shoelaces.
Just because one guy made a joke doesn't mean it's true. It's the same as basketball shorts or sweatpants with a string. I always wear a shoelace belt skating. I used to wear regular belts but they bug the crap out of me skating and they hurt when I fall. And I don't see what the point is in hating those that wear them. If you don't like them, don't wear them. Fucking period. I almost had to wear a shoelace belt today even though I fucking hate them, looked for my belt for like 15 minutes nothing..
I personally don't like them. Especially when its just for looks like the flaming orange belt suggestion Fakie-Flip made. But I understand if you just want to have one chill for a back-up, but if your excuse is you can't afford one. That's a lame. I created a shirt just for the mockery of the shoelace belt trend.
Its more fashion i think. They cant possibly hold up your pants well unless they are built in like some jeans. Matix for instance. I dont know. I wear shoelace belts with the pants that I dont need to wear my leather belt with. We did not have to compromise what we love to be successful and support our families. I am 36 and skate almost everyday since I was June 1, pm. I have a career and ride my skateboard regularly.
The truth about truth, pretty sure you hate on anything that anyone does, that your not a part of. Take a look in the mirror bro, your days would of been a lot more happier if you skated.
December 25, am. June 13, pm. This little kid is so mad his parents took his skateboard away. Adults can split up what they do into time managed segments. You will learn about it if you ever grow up. November 20, pm. Sounds like you have a personal issue with skaters just fyi its a hobby for adults retard get your fucking head out of your ass there are more 30 to mid 50s men and women who skate just to exersize but obviously you are way to stupid of a human to understand that concept.
March 9, pm. March 15, am. I think the shoelace works so well because it has no bulk and does the job well, imagine slamming with a leather belt on all the time. It would be like wearing a watch while skating.
January 5, pm. I used to wear a belt but fell on it a couple times and moved to shoelaces. Now all I get are weird looks when I pause to re-tye my shoelace. Jenkem Magazine. I can never skate when my shoes are loose. A shoelace belt is not for bending dowm when you skate, thats a complete misunderstanding. A shoelace belt is worn because it holds up your pants better when you are doing stairs. When Kyle had to ollie the 8 step he proffered to where a shoelace belt than normal belt.
Shoelace belts have probably been around since shoelaces were invented. They were originally a product of necessity: you lose your regular belt, you're short on time, so you grab an old shoe, yank out the lace and floss it through your beltloops.
Possibly the first famous person to wear a shoelace belt was skateboarder Rodney Mullen , thus making shoelace belts popular with skateboarders. Now, all sorts of people are wearing shoelace belts including hip hop star, Wiz Khalifa.
Companies such as Panasaya Clothing are even making shoelace belt made from laces specifically designed to be used as belts so they won't stretch, like normal shoelaces.
