This song is saying, that you change yourself so much to accommodate the thoughts and feelings of others that you don't realize what truly matters, which is your thought and feelings. It doesn't matter what they think, because they're always gonna think you could look better or you need to buy this makeup or those clothes, or that you need to be more like them.
